About Dr. Olive

Dr Emily Olive is a Hepatobiliary and General surgeon based in Brisbane who is committed to providing excellent and compassionate patient care. Her special interests include liver and pancreatic cancer surgery, biliary and gallbladder surgery, and emergency general surgery.

Dr Olive completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2010 and on completion, she progressed onto the general surgical training in Queensland, working at hospitals throughout the state and achieving FRACS in 2020. Following this, Dr Olive spent a further four years in subspeciality training at hospitals throughout Australia and attained a fellowship qualification in hepatobiliary surgery with AANZHPBA.  Through her training, Dr Olive has gained skills in advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgery as well complex hepatobiliary surgery.  On completion of her fellowship in 2025, Dr Olive commenced consultant appointments at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside and is a member of RACS, GSA and AANZHBPA. Dr Olive is a current board member of AANZHPBA.
